Research Question:
How has the digital age influenced the evolution of the book cover?
Drive for inquiry:
To develop a better understanding of: what influences have driven a change (if any) in book covers in today’s advanced digital age (ie online accessibility, ereaders, impact on independent bookstores and large chains); discover the historical evolution of the book cover through time; research and analyze what aspects are built into a book cover.

- 1 hour every Saturday set aside for reading research
- 1-2 hours a week devoted to finding research
Start small:
- general research
Get Bigger:
- journal studies
- find covers to analyze
- reread lit theory from class
- develop theories that rival class readings (ha-ha?)
Epiphany!
Create Masterpiece:
I have no idea how this will look (i.e. no idea in what form I will display my research project). I believe that my “masterpiece” will reflect the outcome of the inquiry. (Multi-modal in the sense that there will be more than just text, but no promises on not including a digital pop-up tell-all photo essay ( for those who don’t know my sarcasm. That was sarcasm……I have no idea how to do a pop-up book online, although I think that would fascinating—it would probably require 3D glasses because “things” cant pop out of thin air (this isn’t Star-trek and I don’t have a replicator…hmmm.))
